DOUBLE HELIX is a special Limited Edition sunglass collaboration with alternative musician and LA-native BECK and Oliver Peoples. Inspired by his personal collection of deadstock 80s sunglasses, BECK was very involved in the 2-year development of the frame.

The style name ‘Double Helix’, chosen by BECK, represents the double-helix of DNA. The showcase characteristic of the style is the dual color inspired by lenticular vision, which results in the gcolors changing, depending on the angle from which it is viewed. Using a vintage pattern from Italy as a base, custom-made material was produced that appears as clear stripes from the front, while appearing pink or yellow from the sides. The key color is selected from a palette by BECK. BECK’s signature is printed on the inside of the right temple. The logo design is used in the BECK album ‘Mutations’ and is reproduced in the form of a metal plaque on the right temple tip. The BECK ‘Double Helix’ comes with a PORTER’S custom-made original case especially designed for the style. The material is selected based on a ‘classic-modern’ theme and the color matches the pop image of the sunglass. BECK’s signature is printed inside of the case, which also includes a hook for attaching to a bag, as well as an elastic band to stabilize the glasses inside.
